Why Script word-for-word?
- Scripting removes hesitation and makes shooting faster.
- It ensures your message is clear and concise.
- It prevents rambling—keeping your video value dense.
- Scripting and recording word-for-word will save you time later. Trust me.
The Simplest Video Structure
1️⃣ Hook – Grab attention and introduce the topic.
2️⃣ Deliver Value – Teach, explain, or demonstrate the main idea.
3️⃣ Wrap Up – End with a takeaway, punchline, or next step.
How to Script Efficiently
- Keep it conversational (write how you talk).
- Use short sentences (if you can’t say it in one breath, it’s too long).
- Aim for 70-90 words for a 30-second video.
- Break larger topics into smaller pieces if needed. (Voila! You have a video series!)
- Use bullet points if a full script feels too stiff.
- Film sentence by sentence if needed to keep delivery smooth.

I personally like reading my scripts off the CapCut teleprompter feature, but I’ll show you that in the next module.
